What Doew The Hymen Look Like

MEETING-DEDICATION Greg Shaw

Greg Shaw is an author subscriber to conceptual projects.
For him the comic is a fun, game codes, forms. These first two books
atypical ("pictorial journey" and "Widow Wrist) had already put a brick in the fields of comics designed as a minimum layout and ironic. Travelling With
Square District, this is more of a brick but it is a whole district of the Buildings not so opaque windows ...

"Murders, tensions and settling of scores ... the story of this comic stretches an incredible shot in 140 pages from a single image: one, giant, coverage! From this single image - an imaginary city that might be New York, Toronto or Hong Kong - the author, by a zoom relentless, forcing the reader to attend, as motionless voyeur of Rear Window, several stories that intersect, collide. It follows, in this setting as in the theater, archetypal characters: the lover, the killer, the Sponsor, the adulterous wife, two cops who do not want to piss off ... The reader dazed, wandering, lost, lost characters, found, observed every life with surprise, disdain, empathy ... The characters about like small robots in a setting too big for them, we would in turn help them to prevent them, crushing them.
could enumerate the graphic inventions, enchantment created by
thumbnails / tables, precision and beauty of the setting
stage, the attention paid to chromatic harmonies
... Let yourself go with the visual style of Greg Shaw! "

A presentation of the publisher Sarbacane we agree completely, and are very curious to see how Greg Shaw is going to autograph his new pad.
See you this Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 15h00 at the Apartment,
soon.
